ABOUT BOOKING YOUR EXPERIENCE AT KAKES:
You’ll need to click any reservation button on the page. You’ll then select the desired date and time. If no times are available, you may also try to book by calling us at (870)-KAKESNY.
If you’re not a member, you will have to purchase a 1-Day Membership at checkout of your reservation. This fee is typically $25 per seat booked. We call that a Day Pass and that is paid for in advance / when you make the reservation. Members do not pay Day Pass fees on non-event nights. If one person is booking on behalf of the whole party, that person will be asked to pay for the entire amount at checkout.
The Day Pass fee does not include any food or drinks. It simply grants you access to the venue. All food, drinks and other items are ordered and paid for a-la-carte at the venue. Gratuity is added to every dine-in purchase at a rate of 18%.
If you want to book a party that is larger than 7 people, you’ll need to call us at (870)-KAKESNY. The booking system will not allow you to book parties larger than 7 people. If your party is being booked individually by each member of your party, you’ll want to tell everyone to add a note to their reservation stating that they are with your party, so that we can do our best to seat people together.
We reserve the right to limit the time you can dine at Kakes. Time limits may vary, depending on how busy we are. Typical time limit is 2 hours.

Yes, however you will have to purchase a Day Pass at $25, which is the equivalent of having a 1-Day membership. The Day Pass fee is charged upon checkout when you book your reservation online.
Yes, however it is strongly suggested to book in advance, due to the high volume of reservations that are made daily.
Walk-ins must still purchase a Day Pass, which can be done online or upon arrival. Members can walk-in with no Day Pass fee.

The Day Pass fee is a membership fee for the day that you’re visiting Kakes NYC and it does not count towards the cost of any other items purchased in-store.
However, if you decide to become a member during your visit with us, we will credit the $25 Day Pass fee towards the purchase of an annual membership to the venue, reducing the price from $150 for the year to $125
No. There is no alcohol served at Kakes NYC.
No. There are no exceptions made.
Yes. Everyone who is not an annual member of Kakes NYC must pay the $25 Day Pass fee in order to come to the venue. This is paid upon making the reservation.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are booking for more than one person, you will be asked to pay for the Day Pass fee for each person that is a member of your party. That means that if you have 3 people in your party, you’ll be asked to pay $75 upon checkout of the online reservation process.
Alternatively, you can have everyone book their own individual reservation and they will then each pay the Day Pass fee.
IMPORTANT: Please instruct your party to include a note in the reservation that tells us that they’re with your party (ex: Kim’s birthday party).
WE RECOMMEND HAVING ONE PERSON HANDLE THE BOOKING FOR EVERYONE, so that we avoid issues that may arise from members of the party who may forget to add notes to let us know they are a part of the group.
No. Day Pass fees are waived for members only. However, occasionally we have events and specials that allow for members to bring guests without having to pay for the Day Pass fee.
Day Pass fees are applicable to all non-member visitors and they are necessary since they are purchasing a 1-Day Membership, which is what the Day Pass is.
From time-to-time we have specials where we allow members to bring guests at no cost, so the Day Pass fees are waived.

We can accommodate large parties, but of course this is contingent upon seating availability, date, etc. If you wish to book a party that is larger than 7 people, please call us at: (870)-KAKESNY. Please Note: Parties that are larger than 10 people will need to book separate tables and may not be seated together unless a pre-fixe menu is paid for each member of the party.

Yes. You can upgrade your reservation during the check out process when booking. Prix-Fixe upgrade costs $175 per person and it includes your Day Pass, an Appetizer, an Entree and a Dessert. It also includes soft drinks (soda, bottled water, lemonades). It does not include mocktails, however they can be ordered a-la-carte at the venue.
PLEASE NOTE: PRIX-FIXE DOES NOT INCLUDE GRATUITIES/TIPS. Some desserts are not included, however they can be purchased for an additional fee.
We reserve the right to impose a time limit on your stay. On sold-out / busy dates you an expect to have a time limit imposed of around 2 hours.
